We strive to give the most accurate image possible of our programs and offerings with photos taken on site and kept current. If you join a program or gathering with us, we may photograph or record activities that include you. The materials may be used in this non-profit website and other materials to promote programs and happenings. Thank you for your support! If you do not want your image to be used, please provide written notice prior to event dates.

REFUND POLICY
UPDATED MARCH 2, 2021

There are two different circumstances that may lead to a refund:

  1. Participant Cancellations, in which a participant withdraws their registration/application before the program starts or the participant leaves a program early.

  2. Program Postponements or Cancellations, which are choices made by The Eco-Institute.

PARTICIPANT CANCELLATIONS

In order to provide intimate, responsive programs, we rely on the commitment of all registrants once signed up for a given program. All program payments go toward not only direct program costs, including a living wage for facilitators, but also overhead expenses, many of which have been spent well before a program’s start, and are required to keep our small non-profit operating. Given this, we also understand that people’s circumstances shift, and that sometimes a participant may need to withdraw their application, cancel registration, or leave a program early.

REFUND POLICY FOR PARTICIPANT CANCELLATIONS:

A participant’s cancellation with more than six weeks notice will be fully refunded, minus a $50 administration fee. A cancellation made with less than six weeks but more than one month’s notice entitles the participant to a 50% refund. A program cancellation with more than two weeks’ but less than a month’s notice entitles the participant to a 25% refund. For a participant’s cancellation within two weeks of the program’s start date, including withdrawing from the program early either by choice or by dismissal, the participant will forfeit their entire tuition, with some exceptions made on a case-by-case basis at the discretion of The Eco-Institute.

POSTPONEMENTS OR CANCELLATIONS ON THE PART OF THE ECO-INSTITUTE

Though we don’t like to do it, and rarely must, The Eco-Institute reserves the right to postpone, reschedule, or cancel any of our programs. We may make this decision due to insufficient enrollment or as a result of health and safety concerns beyond our control. In the event of program postponement, The Eco-Institute is able to transfer any deposits or tuition payments free of charge to future programs, or issue a full refund to participants who are not able to make the new program dates. If the program is aborted after having begun, we are able to offer a partial refund of the full cost of the program, for residential programs: at minimum a prorated room and board expense if content is able to be delivered remotely. The Eco-Institute is not responsible for registration platform fees or other costs incurred by participants in preparing to attend a program. Regardless of the origin or timing of program cancellation or postponement, The Eco-Institute is not responsible for other costs incurred by participants in preparing to attend a program, such as supplies and travel expenses.

Ultimately, whether a decision about postponement or cancellation was ours or yours, we ask that you meet us with compassionate, respectful, and cooperative communication during this difficult time. Further, given the amount of time and care that goes into the application and on-boarding process, we ask that, in the event of any full or partial refund, you consider transferring your payments to a future program or converting your payments into a tax-deductible donation to our non-profit organization. In the event of the latter, we’d be happy to provide you with a letter of receipt.

Please submit all refund requests or questions to programs@eco-institute.org.
