We must deepen and strengthen our work together for the healing of our world...

Many of us have taken a Permaculture Foundations Class or even earned a Certification, but still lack the skills to execute a professional design. Local Permaculture Designer, Will Hooker, along with other permaculture legends like Toby Hemenway, believe there is so much wonderful material in a typical PDC course that there often isn't sufficient time left for actual design practice. That's why we've created this course!

Campers will play wild and wacky improvisation and storytelling games to foster a sense of camaraderie and trust within the group. We will dive into the basics of performance- learning how to enunciate, express emotions through body language, "share the stage" with a scene partner, and determine a character's wants/needs/motivation. We will explore character, setting, and plot using the natural world as a source of inspiration- even using elements from the land to craft into masks, costume pieces, and props.
Campers will discover the world of writing through silly and engaging exercises that get you thinking outside the box! We will explore what it means to us to write and respond to poetry, fiction, and self-reflective prose in a safe and inspiring environment. We will spend time creating stories together as a group as well as individually. Campers will personalize journals with artifacts found from the land and use these throughout the week as a safe place to let the imagination run wild!
